I don’t have much to say, actually I have some awesome plans but I’m not gonna rant about those until  it actually happens, so *fingerscrossed*

Our local publisher “ბაკურ სულაკაურის გამომცემლობა” translated  first part of series: ‘Death Cloud‘ in Georgian so it was a book presentation as well. When I fist heard about the event, I was very excited, cos I loved Torchwood Novel – Slow Decay that Andy wrote and I couldn’t believe that he was actually going to visit Tbilisi, that kind of stuff doesn’t really happen here often

So I went today at the event and after he gave a speech, readers had a chance to ask questions and me and Sally were the only ones who could actually understand English so I told him that we were Whovians and really glad that he visited, loved his TWD work as well as Sherlock series and was going to read ‘Red Leech’ and ‘Black ice’ and asked if he was going to write any more TWD novels or maybe do Radio Dramas. He was very happy to see that somebody actually cared, cos mostly audience had no clue what was going on and most of them were there for the painting contest

Later, Mr. Lane had to choose winners from best painting and best question, I thought that he would choose something related to Sherlock, I enjoyed the book very much, but had no good ideas to ask, so I choose Doctor Who subject instead. So Mr. Andy said that he was glad somebody had read his book in English, so he chose me ♥ I was so excited and embarrassed and stuff, you know, everybody staring at you and stuff, I greeted him and he also made a remark about my Union Jack t-shirt ^ They gave me my prize that I won, a pool and spa membership and he signed my book, we chatted some more about Doctor Who and how he had done some work for Torchwood magazine, I explained that I couldn’t subscribe to magazine from Georgia, also the fact that I’d have let him sign my ‘Slow Decay‘ copy, but I only had an audiobook, so that was a shame. But in overall it was sucha fun event, I think that he enjoyed our presence as much as we did, kind of cheered each other, had a wonderful time :] He promised to visit again if he could for next series translations, which is gonna be awesome!

Gosh, I’m so thrilled, I can’t believe I met the actual author and we spoke and stuff, so excited about tonight. I know you think it’s no big deal and don’t want to listen to my foolish rambling, but this doesn’t happen very often, so it made my day ^___^

Now I’m a university student, studying Arts and Sciences at Ilia State University and today I chose 2 extra subjects which are ‘Contemporary Literature from Modernism to Postmodernism‘ aaaand ‘Space and Time in Contemporary Physics!’ That’s right, my dear, I’m going to be studying Physics and to be more specific, I’m gonna know more about Big Bang Theory!

HOW BLOODY AWESOME IS THAT?! xD

I mean, basically it’s like Sani meets Doctor Who meets Sheldon Cooper ^

ahhh, I’m so gonna enjoy this #nerdpower

Since then  I’ve seen it twice. I’m planning to go again around 25th to see it in English (we get Russian dubs and only one English screening if  we’re lucky)

I have to say I’m pretty much delighted with it, it made me cry, it made me laugh and I had this strange feeling when I first came out of the theatre, it’s like when you don’t really know what to feel, but you know something important is ending.

People react to Harry Potter pretty harshly here, not many understand how important part this saga can take in your life, especially if you started reading it since you were eleven and grew up with Harry, Ron and Hermione in this magical little world, like I did.

I’ll try to sum up pros and cons of the whole thing:

Pros:

• I enjoyed those gorgeous landscape scenes as always, Dragon flight, Hogwarts surrounded by demontors and so on)
• Shell cottage was exactly as I pictured it, very lovely.
• chronology sort of followed the course as it was supposed to.
• Helena Bonham Carter playing Hermione playing Bellatrix was DAMN HILARIOUS!
• Aberforth was okay, not exactly how I thought he’d turn out to be, but still, I liked him.
• Big respects for Maggie Smith who was sick and could barely stand because of Chemotherapy, but she held herself and wrapped the whole thing perfectly, that woman is amazing and brilliant McGonagall!
• Pensive memories were done really well, I guess those who haven’t read the whole thing, make something out of it, what happened and all.
• Alan Rickman, you awesome human being, I am so glad that I’ve met you live and have your autograph. You dashing actor, if I could I’d have awarded you with Oscar already, same goes to Ralph Fiennes for his splendid performance, god you guys are amazing.
• Two words: VOLDIE’S LAUGHTER!
• Come to the dark side, we give free hugs, god that scene was awkward and poor Draco, lol. Tom is adorable ^
• Warwick Davis is awesome cos he portrayed Flitwick perfectly for ages and now he got to be a bad guy/goblin, too ^
• we got to see a lot of Neville scenes, how brave and funny he is and he’s mad about Luna, which is so awesome! (Matt is hot, haha)
• Hogwart’s battle was okay, at least most of it and I’m glad they didn’t cut out “Not my daughter, you bitch” scene, you go Mrs. Weasley!
• Just glad to see old students, especially that Seamus line about finding “something somewhere” xD
• Forest scene was okay, close to what I portrayed and enjoed Dumbledore/Harry scene at King’s Cross, especially how Harry kept stepping on poor man’s cloack in every 20 seconds )))
• I just want to thank the trio, Emma, Rupert and Harry for portraying our favourite characters for so many years now, you guys are awesome.
• 19 years later was lovely, trio with Ginny looked awesome, cool kids and all but I have to say Draco really looked older than his father lol and no blue haired Teddy Lupin, which is pity (

Cons:

• First of all, I don’t understand why we didn’t see ANY Tom Riddle scenes, cos those who haven’t read the books would probably have no idea how horcruxes were created, plus think about how awesome it would’ve been to see Marvolo’s hause and get a little glimpse to young Tom’s hot father and her witch mother.
• There wasn’t any death scene of Fred, at least it didn’t seem like one, but there were worse things.
• Ron/Hermione kiss was stupid, no mention of the elves, plus it was unexpected not in a right place and well, I don’t know about others but I really didn’t like it.
• Why were so many bloody Death Eaters? Really, though. that scene when they’re trying to break the protection, they’re like so many of them which seemed not close to the book at all, I mean I get that giants arrived and other people from different countries but that many? Surreal. Plus bridge scene with Neville and Scabior, those Snatchers were more than 300, what the butt?! p.s. Scabior is damn hot ^____^
• When Hagrid carries “dead” Harry out of the forest, Neville is supposed to go up to Voldie, which he sort of did but kill Nagini at once, unexpectedly, and then Harry is supposed to rise and start duelling with Voldie in a circle of wizards but instead, silly David Yates decided it would’ve been much cleverer to make them run after each other and play fucking hide and sick in this huge ruined castle which was utterly STUPID! God, that was so silly and then nagini ran after Ron and Hermione, WUT?! At last Neville killed him *phew*

I guess that’s it, sorry for being so picky but that’s what happens when you create a movie according  to the book with huge, caring fandom ^

This meant a lot to us guys, this was our bloody childhood and some of us started reading  books generally because of Harry Potter, so get used to it being a big thing.  Ten years, TEN BLOODY YEARS.

Thank you, Jo, thanks a lot  for creating this magical, splendind world for me which helped me with my fantazy and deciding how I should lead my life.

I can’t wait to get one book at a time as a present for my children when they turn eleven.  I bet they’ll love it.

I bet they’ll be as thankful and delighted as I am wiritng this right now when I’m eighteen.

So I was planning to take a quick nap in a quiet house which doesn’t happen very often since my sleeping schedule is fucked up, but then I thought I should write something before I’ve changed my mind.

So here’s what I have to say:

Finally, my exam revising year is over, thank Castiel for that!

Maybe I can try and be more social from now on, that’s a good thing, right? LOLJK I’m fine at home as long as I don’t have to study and do whatever I want and I don’t feel like going out at all, (it’s very, very hot) this year has made me more of an introvert person then ever.

So you might’ve guessed that I’m taking National Exams again, this year, like last year.

I didn’t do much good on my art exam last year and then I completely changed my mind about Academy of Art, realising, that after all, there are some other professions except being an Interior Designer that I can try and be good at, besides I had lots of friends in that Academy and everybody knowns it’s the only Academy of Art and it sucks. Big time.

so here I am again, this time I’m even more ready and I chose Ilia State University  (Iliauni as they call it) -Faculty of Arts & Science. I want to be an English Language Major.

I think I’ll do fine.

Tomorrow is my first day, Georgian Language exam.

I’m not worried, I’m never worried about things like these and that’s exactly what my family is always worried about. They think I’m too confident. 

Maybe I am, maybe I’m not, but I like that I’m confident, I can’t help it. *( I don’t want to help it.)

I mean, I passed all of them last year and I have more knowledge then before, so it’s not that much big of a deal, I just have to try my best. And I will.

Everything is pretty much depended on these four exams,  if you’ve read my blog before, you might know that I’m not really fond of living and studying and working here, (which makes me sound like a stuck up snob, but well, then again, this is my life and I should do what I’m satisfied with) but moving abroad is really, really expensive and if that’s something I really want to do, then I’ll move my ass, write these exams well and learn something here, in my Uni, look for ways to escape and you know, stuff. Some things will be clearer without planning. But I have to try really hard.

Besides, since when did I stop trying to get something I really wanted to?

Which reminds me of – my aunt called me today from Taiwan, she’s visiting in July and told me she’s bringing an iPad 2 for our family (which at the end of the day means me, cos I don’t remember the last time  my Gran was surfing the web or my Grandfather playing touchpad stuff, just lol) so what she was trying to say, is that if I do well on the exams and get the scholarship or whatever, she’ll leave the iPad for me and don’t take it back with her. So that’s of course another reason for me to try. I never, ever thought I’d have an iPad cos it’s really expensive and I’d never afford it, so that’s amazing, right? ^

Anyway, I wanted this blog post to be short and here I go again with my never ending bluffing.

I guess I’ll do the exams review like last year in Georgian, of course, so cya tomorrow, dear bloggie.
